The best METEOR in the market. No contest. Even without LED unit, it is already one hell of a unit to put your favorite gunpla on, especially the MGSDs since I find those HGs are difficult to handle there. I found Gundam Wing is even more fitting into it than the intended Freedom Gundam.
It's the double METEOR for that operation.
But it has quite a few problems:
- First of all, there are no indication on the LED wires. Just a bunch of wires in the bag and you can't tell which one is which Z in the manual. So if you are confused, please let me know in the comment. I will try to point them out.
- Then, the manual has a few flaws that you would have to figure on your own, but they are not that difficult. Like there are three different colors you could use inside the blades for lighting (white, blue, and pink) yet only blue is mentioned in the manual, AND you have to TRIM them off a bit for the parts to fit.
- The snapfits are troublesome in some parts. You need to apply force properly or simply cut off the faulty pegs. Check the wires as well.
With all those in mind, there are good things:
- The plastic quality is solid. Chinese brands are giving us their best bet in this model kit game. No errors in part, no falling pieces off the runners, evenly color.
- LED units. Although I don't often use LED, it is a welcome feature. Especially when it comes with the USB Type-C port instead of using batteries. And those are beautiful.
- The size is made for both HG and MGSD with posing varieties. The building experience might not be perfect but the outcome is amazing. Combine with Bandai model kits, they are a perfect match.
- The decals are okay. Details like wording are difficult to see but it's not too bad.
I love this so much. The playability is just great. And the faults might simply be the lesson for their next products. I'm looking forward to their new potential IBO's Travel Booster for our Barbatos, A-Pack for Narrative, or the others.
